Born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, Brandon attended Father Ryan High School before getting his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he met his future wife, April Lacy Ryan of Coldwater, Mississippi. They have been married for 20-years and now have three boys (Jackson - 15; Lawson - 13; Tate - 3. The Ryan Family currently resides in Polk Place subdivision and attends Saint Matthew Catholic Church. Jackson is currently enrolled at Father Ryan High School as a Freshman while Lawson is a 7th Grader at Saint Matthew Catholic School.
Besides working as County Commissioner for the 11th District, Brandon also served on the Saint Matthew School Board and coaches two teams with Grassland Baseball. He has worked within the Williamson County Republican Party as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Williamson County Young Republicans.
Professionally, Brandon works for Halyard Health as the Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast. Prior to working in the Medical Device Industry, Brandon spent a number of years working as a Television News Anchor in Mississippi and Wisconsin.
Often seen as an outspoken Conservative on the County Commission, Brandon has worked tirelessly to focus attention on Williamson County's growing debt (it currently stands at three-quarters of a billion dollars) and to educate voters on the role of their local government. In his first term, Brandon authored two highly publicized Measures with his Debt-Cap Resolution and Voter Tax Education Card. He currently serves on the Human Resources and Property Committees. After being re-elected for a second term in the Summer of 2014, Brandon is committed to Conservative Tennessee Values and looks forward to continuing his work for limited government.
